Attorney Heather A. Lee attended Florida State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 1997.    She graduated from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2000. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Lee began working for the State Attorney’s Office, where she worked until 2004.

Ms. Lee worked as an Assistant State Attorney in the Ninth Judicial Circuit, serving Orange and Osceola Counties.    During that time, Ms. Lee was assigned to prosecute misdemeanor, traffic, juvenile, and felony cases. She conducted numerous trials during this time, including trials for the offenses of DUI, Driving while license suspended, battery, drug possession, drug trafficking, robbery, burglary, manslaughter, fraud, identity theft, grand theft, fleeing and attempting to elude, and various other crimes.

In 2004, Ms. Lee began working as an Assistant Statewide Prosecutor for the Florida Attorney General’s Office.    She worked in that capacity until November 2009, when she left to open her own practice. During that time, Ms. Lee was also cross-designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the United States Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Florida.

As an Assistant Statewide Prosecutor, Ms. Lee spent years gaining unique, specialized experience in prosecuting organized criminal activity throughout the State of Florida. Ms. Lee worked closely with various law enforcement agencies, including DEA, FBI, MBI, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Orlando Police Department, OCIB, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Kissimmee Police Department, and others.

Ms. Lee was responsible for obtaining, supervising, and prosecuting numerous wiretap investigations.    Ms. Lee was also responsible for obtaining and supervising pen registers, search warrants, and arrest warrants. Ms. Lee concentrated her prosecution in the area of organized drug trafficking cases, racketeering cases, and organized violent crime cases.
